Studio Etiquette

At Modus every customer is important. We will put our best efforts to ensure that everybody is relaxed and more importantly feel welcomed. We want your time here with us to be fun and that you carry this along with you all along. We would want to give our customer an atmosphere of calm and peace and make your journey with us a successful one.

We have laid down certain Rules that set the standard for a good practice.

To be on Time

To ensure that there is no rush in doing things, please arrive at least 15 minutes before class. This will allow you to prepare yourself before the class.

Medical history and Injuries

For your own safety and care, it is important that you inform the trainer about any medical matters or injuries that you may have suffered. Your information will be kept confidential and the trainer will be able to guide you correctly during your practice. This will ensure that your class becomes that much more easier and fun to do.

Please see medical form on the website or ask for one at the reception.

Yoga Props

There are Mats available at the studio. But we request that you carry your own mats to maintain and take care of your hygiene. In case you do not have a Mat, you could buy one at the reception. The reception will be able to guide you if there is anything else you may need.

No Technology

No cell phones are allowed in the class room or any such device that may cause sound or any other such distraction during your Yoga practice.

No footwear

Footwear is not allowed in the class. The practice is meant to be done bare foot.

What you wear

Our advice would be to wear workout clothing which you feel comfortable in. Preferably lose cloths or the ones which allow you to stretch with ease.

No talking

It is important that you concentrate on the class and learn and absorb how the trainers guides you along. Talking inside the class only disturbs others and the rhythm of a good practice. By doing so, you would be respecting the other practicing yogis in the class.

Eating

We recommend that you eat at least 3 to 4 hours before practice. If you feel you have run out of energy, eat a snack that gives you energy and not make you feel heavy. We advise that you eat nuts or healthy protein intakes or half a banana before the class begins. Please carry your water if needed for the class. You could also purchase one at the club.

Personal Hygiene

There is a clear connection between personal hygiene and yoga in the sense that good personal hygiene makes one less prone to illness and infection and hence makes one healthier.
